YOUTH MINISTRIES
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Our Orthodox Christian tradition is incredibly deep and beautifully rich. The Dormition Church’s Sunday School Program enables students to wrestle with difficult questions and explore some wonderful answers that will provide young people with an anchor in an often unsettled world. It is our goal that the Sunday School Program students will come to appreciate just how much the Orthodox Faith strengths, encourages, and guides them in everyday challenges.
PTO
The Dormition PTO is a group of dedicated parents and teachers who are committed to providing for the continued fellowship and spiritual needs of all of the children of our Dormition Parish. The PTO strives to provide services that benefit the Greek school and Sunday school programs as well as youth and family ministries. The PTO organizes and hosts numerous events throughout the year to raise funds to support our many quality programs. We work to both promote our Greek Orthodox faith and support events that showcase our proud Hellenic heritage.
GOYA
The GOYA (Greek Orthodox Youth of America) is a ministry for the youth of the church to provide an opportunity to experience the four pillars of our Orthodox Faith: worship, service, fellowship, and witness. Our GOYA holds gatherings and meetings a few times per month with opportunities to experience our faith, grow closer to God, and build everlasting friendships with those in the ministry. Whether a weekly meeting, volunteer opportunity, church service, religious retreat, dance, or social outing, we gather together in Christ’s name.
